Hello! I am Garrett, but you may know me as Today in History Buff.
I began this page in May 2017, and I distinctly remember my first post: Margaret Thatcher becoming the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1979. From the page’s founding to February 2023, I never missed a day of posting.
My niche was to pick one event that happened on that respective day in history and educate others on it. Beginning in February 2023, however, I began assisting other accounts via Instagram’s collaboration feature. As of the past month, I have greatly reduced the number of collaborations, but I have begun to share much more history.
Now, rather than focus one singular post per day, I cover any notable historical events, which occasionally means posting up to four time per day! Put simply, there is just too much history to focus on one event during each 24-hour period.
