About

Founded by Scott and Jenn, the History or Die initiative aims to promote well-researched and unbiased history content, uniting history creators to emphasize the importance of learning, knowing, and sharing history.

2020

It all started with the Walk with History YouTube channel in 2020, when we saw that there was a need in online media for well researched and unbiased history content. Scott and Jenn started with a goal to teach people how to think, not what to think.

It is hard to argue with primary sources, real world historical evidence, and historic locations that Walk with History explores and shares with the world.

2022

Wanting to share more in depth details that didn’t make the video cut, Scott and Jenn launched the Talk with History podcast. This was the perfect avenue for them to go deep in to their research and share discoveries from their history based travels.

Developing deeper relationships with their audience, they expand on their adventures, interview other history creators, book authors, and more.

The Talk with History podcast has grown in ways they never expected.

2023

Seeing success in the history video and audio realm, HistoryNewsletter.com was born. This monthly roundup of history news, videos, podcasts, books, and more, aims to be the best history content recommendation newsletter available.

Still in the early stages, it is exciting to see where this will go.

2024

History or Die was created.

How does the saying go?

Those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it

Realizing how important it was to help promote quality history content, Scott and Jenn created History or Die. The origin most obviously comes from Benjamin Franklin’s “Join or Die” political cartoon published on May 9th, 1754.

Designed to unite the American colonies against the French and their Native allies at the start of the French and Indian War, it is thought to be the first political cartoon that advocated unification of the colonies.

Creators here, are unified in the desire to share good, quality, and unbiased history.

What is next?

History or Die wants you!

We are looking for both established and up-and-coming history content creators to share with the world. Helping each other by agreeing on the basic need to learn, know, and share history.

Let’s make History or Die the one-stop-shop for history.
